I started birding/birdwatching in 2017 and have since then travelled around the world to seek out the most epic birding spots.
The global pandemic has prompted many destinations to introduce restrictions on international travel, so I am trying to live on my bird-lover’s dream by birding domestically in China, primarily in Shanghai and Yunnan.
The Nanhui District (currently merged into Pudong New Area) in Shanghai is an important portal of Australia-East Asia migratory route. Every spring and fall, millions of migratory birds arrive there. There are always unexpected visitors.
Yunnan, with its unique geographical location, is home to a spectacular array of bird species.
I have compiled millions of images during years of birding. I created this site to share my photography and knowledge of these winged curiosities.
Hopefully, the sight of their beautiful feathers will interest you in learning more about the birds as well the activity of birding.
